Ishaq A. Afolabi is an enthusiastic life assurance underwriter with proficiency in takaful operations.

He is an Associate of both the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals. He is also a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Lagos Akoka and holds a master’s degree in Islamic Banking and Finance from Bayero University, Kano State.

He started his insurance career with African Prudential Insurance Company as a life underwriter in 2004. He later moved to Royal Exchange Prudential Life in 2008, where he worked for 10 years, and he joined Noor Takaful Ltd as Head of Family Takaful in 2018. He was the Head of the Family Business at Salam Takaful Insurance Company between 2019 and 2022.

Ishaq A. Afolabi has over 15 years of extensive experience in the Nigerian insurance market and he has attended various seminars and conferences both locally and internationally.

He is the proposed Managing Director for the Alwafa Takaful Insurance Limited.
